Our robot’s design was shaped by the needs of our customers and aligned with the emphasis on minimally invasive surgeries. For example, we had to have an advanced arm system in order to hold instruments while being versatile enough to hold all of them. In order for the robot to perform such delicate tasks, we have made our wheels without teeth to allow for smoother travel. Furthermore, our engineering team has implemented a brain matter tray in order to be able to transport the brain matter gathered from the Brain Biopsy. Our main feature, being the arm is also able to rotate 300 degrees in order to be able to reach anything that might be out of reach. In addition, we have created a smaller base that is able to fight in many areas which is required when navigating the SimBody.
